Can I come to see your cabins?

Absolutely, you’re welcome to visit our cabins on site in Waiuku. We offer viewings by appointment during business hours and often in the evenings and on weekends. Please reach out to us to schedule a visit.

Do I need council consent?

Often not. Generally, detached rooms under 10m2 do not need a permit. We provide a portable solution similar to caravans, house boats, or shipping containers. These are temporary, portable units rather permanent housing. However, each individual case is different. We suggest you check in with your local council.

How long does it take to build a cabin?

We typically have standard models available in stock, so feel free to contact us if you’re looking for a cabin that’s ready to go. For custom-built options, please get in touch with us to determine the lead times, as they can vary depending on our current workload.

Do you rent out cabins or do finance?

We don’t offer those options, but we do have contacts with companies who can do this.

Will my cabin need any finishing touches or ongoing maintenance?

Our cabins are fully finished before they leave our facility, so they are ready for immediate use. As with any new building exposed to the elements, they will require regular maintenance.

Does it come with guttering or downpipes?

It doesn’t, but we do recommend clients install these after delivery.

Do you build internal walls?

Yes

What do I need to do to prepare my site for delivery?

Your site needs to be level and have access for the transport vehicle. We can provide some advice for you on this.

How much does transport cost?

This depends on where you are based. We don’t provide delivery; however, we can recommend a local company who can quote this for you.

How do I connect it to power?

Every portable unit/cabin comes with an external caravan power outlet. An electrician needs to organize a connection from your house or a power supply to the caravan power outlet.
